Aglow

I took a similar picture last year but the time of day wasn't ideal and I think I waited too long to get pictures with vibrantly colored leaves. So when I was driving past the other day and saw that the sun was about to set, I couldn't resist stopping to snap a few pictures. Unfortunately I was driving a car and not an SUV, so I couldn't get up high enough to avoid foreground trees but it still ended up being pretty. It if sun to see how the same spot looks at different times of the day.

Panther Football with S

This was my first time attempting pictures at a sporting event and while there were challenges of proximity and time, I had a great time shooting S at his game and managed to grab a few fun shots. S (number 32) puts his heart and soul into football, and his eyes hardly left the game for a second. He and his team spend countless hours practicing, most of which are in the heat and they play hard.

Playing Cinderella

One of my favorite things about P at this age, is all of the dress-up and imaginative play that she engages in. It is a big part of life around here and so we did a quick mini-session to document this aspect of our everyday life. Since she is full of energy and is always moving it was a rare moment to catch her sitting still.

Antelope Island

Just a quick little photo session at Antelope Island. We just let the girls loose playing and they were quite interesting to watch. They found the circles entirely on their own.

Carousel Ride

Riding a Carousel for Missoula when we visit Missoula, Montana is a standing tradition for our family. The best part is that it isn't just a regular carousel! Everything was hand carved and painted and there is a competitive element incorporated into the ride, whoever captures the brass ring from the mouth of the dragon gets a free ride. Sometimes when we ride, we compete to see who can get the most rings. By slowing the shutter-speed down I was able to capture this shot straight-out-of-camera, no editing involved!
