Newborn Pictures with Baby J
Other than the pictures that I took of my daughter P at the hospital and during the first few weeks at home, this was my first chance to take pictures of a newborn baby. Baby J is three days old here and I realized during this session that taking newborn photos is definitely a whole different ball game from taking pictures of babies (even babies that are only two or three months old.) There are definitely things that I learned number one being do whatever you can to keep the baby asleep (make the room a little warmer than usual perhaps, make sure they are well fed and drowsy, etc.) Even though they remain very still, newborn photography is a lot harder than it sounds. I have a roommate from college who majored in Photography and specializes in newborns and she does an amazing job at it which I admire

Snow Improves Lighting
Usually when it is snowy and cold outside, I stay snug and warm indoors. But I couldn't resist the great light reflection that the snow provided for this seven month old session with P.

Fall is Here
This session was so much fun because we found the perfect location right in our backyard! It was a lot of fun because at five months old, P was into exploring everything! I looked away for two-seconds and before I knew it she was sampling the leaves.

DIY Family Picture
This was my first attempt at using a remote to take our family pictures. We were hoping for bold fall leaves, but ended up in the canyon a little too early. Despite that fact, I love the greens and yellows we managed to incorporate into our photo.

K's Seniors at Memory Grove
Such a fun senior picture session with my sister K! She is a senior in high school this year and is the head cheerleader at her school and she is incredibly smart. She is a natural when it comes to posing so she made my work really easy for me.
